Painting Pumpkins...

Mustard yellows, hues of brown, red rusts, and every variation of orange, all of the colors of Autumn. I love it all. Pumpkin and cinnamon, warm tastes and rich smells, cozy blankets, sweater weather, scary books and movies, and the crunch of fallen leaves under my shoes. I love it all.

Painting Pumpkins

Pumpkin still life are what I love most about Autumn. Sketching and painting those cheerful globes is something I look forward to every year.

As the hot days of summer cool off into Fall, fantasies of all of the pumpkins I will collect over the season fill my head. Long stems with deep ridges, and twists. Many shapes. A variety of sizes.
